User Agreement
Please carefully read all of the rules below. Following them will help avoid conflicts with visitors, moderators, and the administration, making reading and communication more productive.
General Provisions and Recommendations
By visiting the popular science portal Science of Everything, you can read articles published in the Science of Everything journal, as well as view news on science and technology, along with relevant videos and photos, and discuss them in the comments.
Moderators maintain order on the portal. They can move, delete, or edit inappropriate comments. Furthermore, moderators have the right to impose various sanctions on users of the site, including issuing warnings and blocking (banning) user accounts for a certain period or permanently.
Comment authors express their own opinions, which may not reflect the opinions of the article author or the site administration. If you notice a message or comment that violates Ukrainian law, contains a commercial secret, or could negatively impact the reputation of an individual or entity, you can report it by emailing [email protected]. Moderators will review your message and take appropriate action.
When leaving comments, please adhere to the portal’s established communication culture. Remember to be polite and friendly to other site visitors. If you notice a violation of these Rules by other users or an act of provocation that could lead to a violation, please report it by emailing [email protected]. The portal administration is responsible for resolving any conflicts that arise on the site.
Portal Language
The official language of the resource is English.
All messages published on the site must be written in Cyrillic. The use of Latin characters is permitted only in certain exceptional cases. To translate transliterated text into a standard format, you can use specialized services (Google Translate and others).
Deliberate violation of English language norms and rules is prohibited.
The website prohibits the overuse of CAPITAL LETTERS, alternating uppercase and lowercase letters, using more than three punctuation marks in a row (!!!!), replacing Russian letters with symbols, and using other methods to make a message noticeable but difficult to read.
Rules for Writing and Posting Comments
When writing comments, avoid spamming, try to avoid lyrical digressions and lengthy philosophical discourses. Remember that the purpose of a comment is to express your thoughts in a way that is understandable to all participants in the discussion.
Avoid overusing quotations. To quote an opponent, simply highlight the main phrase and click the «Comment» button; generally, quoting the entire message is not necessary. You can post videos and photos in the comments.
Overuse of jargon as a means of expressing emotion has a very negative impact on the perception of information. Avoid this.
Try to avoid using highly specialized terms. If they are unavoidable in a message, please briefly explain them or provide a link to a resource where an explanation can be found (for example, a Wikipedia article).
The following is strictly prohibited in comments and messages:
calling for extremism and terrorism;
calling for inciting ethnic conflicts;
offering insults, rudeness, or vulgarity, either explicit or implicit;
leaving messages that carry no semantic load (such as, for example, «nonsense!», «great!», «nothing!», and the like). Instead of comments like «agree» or «+1,» use secret voting (the «+» and «-» buttons in the corner of the comment)
Using obscene or profane language, either explicitly or implicitly. Hiding obscene words behind special characters and ellipses is also prohibited;
leaving comments that are not related to the material being discussed (off-topic). However, slight deviations from the topic are permitted;
publishing overly politicized messages;
discussing the personal qualities of discussion participants;
discussing theological issues and engaging in religious propaganda;
providing links to pseudoscientific resources and discussing esoteric and pseudoscientific materials;
discussing conspiracy theories;
provoking conflict or responding to provocation. If you believe that the
Forum Rules or your rights are being violated, please notify the moderator. Taking action against violators is their sole responsibility;
allowing unconstructive criticism or any insults directed at the authors of materials, moderators, and the portal administration;
discussing the actions of the moderator. If you disagree with the moderator, you can contact the site administration by writing to [email protected] If the complaint is found to be justified, the moderator’s actions will be cancelled and disciplinary measures will be taken against him.

Penalty System
A moderator may impose a penalty for violating these Site Rules.
The site provides for several types of penalties:
warning;
term ban;
permanent ban.
A single violation of the rules results in a warning. The number of violations after which an account will be banned depends on the frequency and severity of these violations.
Account bans occur as a result of intentional and serious violations of the Site Rules, as well as after systematic repetition of minor violations.
In cases where the situation is not covered by any provision of the Site Rules, the moderator makes a decision at their sole discretion, provided it does not contradict the Site Rules.
If you refuse to accept the imposed penalty, you may write to a Site Administration representative at [email protected].
A decision on disputed matters made by the Site Administrator is final. It cannot be appealed.
