Amazon is in talks with Warner Bros. to develop a Lord of the Rings TV series

Amazon, the e-commerce giant, is working with Warner Bros. to create a Lord of the Rings television series, which fantasy fans are eagerly awaiting. Negotiations have been lengthy, and a deal has not yet been reached, although Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos—a well-known fan of fantasy and sci-fi—is personally involved in the discussions, which could be a good sign. Another positive sign for fans is the fact that Warner Bros. recently settled a long-running lawsuit, worth approximately $80 million, with the Tolkien family. Any new work between them should move quickly.

There are a lot of negotiations in the early stages, but this is certainly a project worth keeping an eye on, and hopefully, we’ll soon see our favorite characters return to the silver screen.
