The Verge, in collaboration with the consulting firm Reticle Research, conducted a random survey of 1,520 people. Not only did the Cupertino-based company monitor its competitors across various categories, but in some cases, it performed poorly, at best.

For example, when asked to rank trust levels among competitors, Apple ranked well behind Google, Amazon, and Microsoft in terms of how each handles personal information. When asked how they would feel if Apple and Facebook mysteriously disappeared tomorrow, many said it wouldn’t affect them at all.

That said, Tim Cook and company continued to break ground with their cutting-edge technological advancements, generating sales for their diverse product line. What do you think?
