Elon Musk announced that the underground transportation tunnel is almost complete

According to an Instagram message made by the entrepreneur, the first project of his underground transportation is almost complete and a demo test will be held soon. After a round of final approval by regulatory bodies, free demonstration trips will be offered to the public, offering a look at a transportation option that will cost less than a standard bus ride.

Super huge thanks to everyone that helped with this project. Strong support from public, elected officials & regulators is critical to success. As mentioned in prior posts, once fully operational (demo system rides will be free), the system will always give priority to pods for pedestrians & cyclists for less than the cost of a bus ticket.

The tunnel will try to resist city traffic and offer pedestrians and cyclists a new public transport option that uses a very alternative route. Located at a depth of 30 to 70 feet underground, the tunnel will transport cars and containers containing up to 16 people and avoid all obstacles of traditional traffic.
